Insuring Your Holiday Home

No matter how careful we all are, accidents to your home away from home can happen, which is why your holiday home must be insured annually and protected against damage from bad weather, accidents, and mishaps. To simplify the process of purchasing a holiday home with us and help you enjoy your investment worry-free, we will arrange for your home to be insured with Compass Insurance and covered until 30th June. If you prefer, you are free to arrange you own insurance cover elsewhere, just let us know.

If you take the Compass Insurance cover, two or three weeks before the expiry date, we will organise a renewal quotation for the forthcoming 12 months, for your consideration. The price of insurance will vary depending on various factors, such as the sum insured of the caravan, which should include a provision for things such as decking and verandas.

Why do I need Caravan Insurance?

Caravans are susceptible to damage from storms or floods and, in the winter, are vulnerable to damage from frozen or burst pipes that result in water escaping. Even the most diligent of caravan owners can suffer accidents or damage, which can be costly and stressful to resolve. That’s why it’s important to have specialist insurance cover that will cover the costs if the worst does happen and give you that extra peace of mind.

It is important to make sure to consider all the costs and properly estimate your cover requirements, and compare like for like when looking at providers. For help with comparing providers and products, follow the link below.
